Extended Warranty Terms

Last updated: 21 August 2026

These terms govern the optional 12-month extended warranty (£24.99) offered by VacuumKing (“we”, “us”, “our”) on machines purchased from vacuumking.co.uk. The warranty is an added layer of cover and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, nor your 14-day money-back guarantee.

Included cover (free with every machine)

Every machine we sell includes 3 months’ cover as standard, at no cost. It covers repair or replacement of mechanical and electronic parts that fail in normal household use. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or wear items such as filters and brush bars, and you cover the cost of sending the machine to us (we pay to send it back).

The optional 12-month warranty described below also runs from the date of purchase, so it replaces the included 3 months rather than being added on the end. Total cover is 12 months, not 15. What you gain by buying it is the further 9 months, and postage in both directions on an approved claim. The exclusions in section 4 apply to both.

1. Cover period

Cover runs for 12 months from the date of purchase and applies to the original purchaser only. It is non-transferable and applies to domestic (household) use only.

2. What’s covered

The warranty covers mechanical and electronic failures of the core components of the machine, including parts and labour. Covered components include:

  • Batteries that fail or no longer hold a usable charge (beyond normal, gradual capacity loss)
  • Motors
  • Triggers and power switches
  • Digital displays and control electronics
  • Internal wiring, circuit boards and chargers

Shipping is on us, both ways. If a valid claim is approved, we cover the cost of postage to send the machine in and the cost of returning it to you.

3. How repairs are carried out

Where a covered component has failed, we will repair the machine by replacing the faulty part with a like-for-like new or refurbished part, at our discretion. All refurbished parts are tested and in good working order. Cover is limited to the mechanical/electronic components listed above— it is not a “whole machine” replacement guarantee. If a machine cannot be economically repaired, we may at our discretion offer a comparable refurbished replacement.

4. What’s not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Routine service, consumable and wear-and-tear parts — including filters, brush bars and cleaner heads, belts, seals, hoses, wands, bins, soft rollers and attachments/tools
  • Accidental damage, drops, impacts or crushing
  • Liquid or water ingress, or picking up water, plaster dust, ash or other unsuitable material
  • Blockages, or faults caused by lack of maintenance (e.g. not emptying the bin or cleaning filters)
  • Cosmetic marks — scratches, scuffs or discolouration that don’t affect function
  • Normal, gradual battery capacity loss over time
  • Misuse, neglect, or use outside the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Commercial, industrial or hire use
  • Repairs, modifications or parts fitted by anyone other than us

5. Fair-use & anti-fraud

Every machine we sell has its serial number recorded and photographed at dispatch, along with a record of its condition. When you make a claim, we inspect the returned machine and verify it against those records.

This warranty is void, and a claim may be refused, where we find:

  • the serial number does not match the machine originally supplied;
  • parts have been removed, swapped or substituted for older, faulty or third-party parts;
  • evidence of tampering, unauthorised opening or attempts to manufacture or stage a fault; or
  • deliberate damage.

In short: the warranty protects against genuine mechanical failure of the machine we sold you — it cannot be used to swap good parts for damaged ones or to claim against faults that were deliberately caused.

6. How to make a claim

  1. Email our support team with your order number and a description of the fault (photos or a short video help).
  2. If the fault is covered, we’ll arrange prepaid postage to send the machine to us.
  3. We inspect and, where the claim is valid, repair or replace the affected mechanical part and return the machine to you free of charge — typically within a few working days of receiving it.

7. Cancelling this warranty

You can cancel the extended warranty within 45 days of buying it and get a full refund of the £24.99, provided you haven’t made a claim on it. You can also cancel at any point after that, and we’ll refund the proportion of the cover you haven’t used, again provided no claim has been made.

Just let us know with your order number — there’s no form to fill in and we won’t ask you why. Cancelling the extended warranty doesn’t affect the 3 months’ cover included free with your machine, or your statutory rights.

8. General

We may decline or recover the cost of a claim that falls outside this cover. Nothing here limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. Questions? Get in touch — we’re happy to help.
